Imprisoned and Free

The warden's in his locked cell,

Crying out that he can't see.

When he learns he is the prison,

Then he'll know that he is free.

This little poem came to me today while sitting Zazen at the Vista Zen Center. Perhaps I should have not allowed myself to become so distracted, but these poems often force themselves on me and are most insistent!

Very wonderful poem - no wonder it wouldn't leave you alone!

Thanks, Barry. I often have poems appear in my head, nearly or completely composed at the end of an hour's sitting. Between them and the dream poems, I guess I'm pretty lazy and letting my subconscious do all the hard work!
